Grants for Educators

In keeping with the objectives of the Margaret M. Generali Foundation, four grants of $1500.00 each will be awarded this year by the foundation. The purpose of the grants is to promote projects that improve or expand the teaching of reading or language arts, Pre-K through grade 12.

All materials purchased through grant funds becomes the property of the school not the individual educator.

The awards will be available to any Waterbury public or non-public teacher, specialist or administrator. Preference will be given to first time applicants and applicants who teach in schools that appear more in need of the funds. This year, another preference will be given for the use of funds for technology that would assist in literacy through distance learning.

Applications are due to the Foundation by Friday, December 1, 2022.  Grant recipients will be announced by December 17, 2022.
